In an interview with Bild, RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has addressed the recent rumours regarding his future.
Diomande’s breakout season at the Red Bull Arena has naturally resulted in him being linked with a move to both Bayern Munich and Liverpool. It has also previously been reported that next summer, Leipzig’s price tag for the 19-year-old is €100m.
On the rumours regarding his future, Diomande said:
“It’s always nice to hear such things. But I haven’t spoken to anyone from Bayern. It’s not the right time for that. I’m happy here in Leipzig and want to remain fully focused.”
Diomande’s first season with RB Leipzig:
Since moving to the Bundesliga from the LaLiga2 side Leganes in the summer for €20m, the winger has been a revelation for Leipzig this season.
In 21 Bundesliga games, the 19-year-old has eight goals and five assists, making himself more or less indispensable for Ole Werner’s attack as he is the joint top scorer alongside Christopher Baumgartner at the Red Bull Arena.
