According to Sport Bild, RB Leipzig have made a u-turn and are now expected to open contract extension talks with 24-year-old French defender Nordi Mukiele.
It was reported earlier this month that Leipzig would not be extending the contract of right-sided defender Nordi Mukiele beyond 2023 and had made no attempts to do so, but it now appears that the DFB Pokal winners have changed their mind.
Both Manchester United and PSG had both shown previous interest in Mukiele, who was expected to leave Leipzig should they receive a reasonable offer of around €10m.
Mukiele has played 38 games in all competitions and can play in a variety of positions, which suits the style of head coach Domenico Tedesco.
