Although he was linked with Borussia Dortmund for weeks, David Raum claims there were never serious discussions with ‘Die Schwarzgelben’.

David Raum was heavily linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund before ultimately joining RB Leipzig from Hoffenheim.
However, according to the player, he never came close to signing for Dortmund.
“Dortmund was mentioned in the media very early on, but there was almost no exchange at all, and the talks between the club and my representatives never really picked up speed,” Raum told Kicker.
Leipzig, on the other hand, showed real interest in Raum, who was particularly impressed by the fact that club bosses Domenico Tedesco, Mario Gomez and Christopher Vivell came to visit him during his vacation on Ibiza.
“The fact that the coach flew to visit me after training in Leipzig and returned to Leipzig the same day to be able to lead training in Leipzig again the morning after is certainly not a matter of course,” said Raum and added:
“I wear my heart on my sleeve, so things like that play a big role for me.”
