Former AS Monaco manager Philippe Clement returns to the Côte d’Azur this evening, 18 months after leaving the Principality club, as Rangers take on OGC Nice in the UEFA Europa League.
For the encounter, the Scottish side are close to full strength with only Neraysho Kasanwirjo out of this tie. Ianis Hagi, meanwhile, is not in Rangers’ Europa League squad and is therefore ineligible. The major question mark revolves around the right-back spot. Captain James Tavernier has not been a guaranteed starter of late and Dujon Sterling has taken his chances. It is the latter that may therefore get the nod against Les Aiglons.
Cyriel Dessers, who already has 10 goals for Rangers this season, will get the nod in the attack as they look to return to winning ways in the competition.
Rangers likely line-up v Nice
Jack Butland; Jefté, Robin Pröpper, John Souttar, Dujon Sterling; Connor Barron, Nicolas Raskin; Nedim Bajrami, Mohamed Diomandé, Vaclac Cerny; Cyriel Dessers.
