Rangers duo Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande have been labelled ’empty jerseys’ by Heart & Hand podcast owners David Edgar, after their display against Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers have certainly picked up some form under Danny Rohl in recent weeks, but their first-half performance against Hearts left a lot to be desired. The Glasgow giants conceded twice before the half-time break, with a host of players underperforming for Rohl’s side.
A number of players have come under criticism with Rangers underperforming, particularly during Russell Martin’s reign as manager. The January transfer window is an opportunity for Rohl to offload some of his deadwood, while bringing in players to suit his system and take the team to the next level.
Raskin and Diomande Slammed for Rangers
Heart & Hand podcast owner Edgar was quick to respond to a Rangers supporter who called out both Raskin and Diomande during their clash against Hearts. Edgar, responding to a supporter who claimed Rangers need to offload the duo in January, suggested that they are ’empty jerseys’ during their performance on Sunday.
Raskin and Diomande have both come under plenty of criticism this season, with some fans suggesting that they need to be sold in the January transfer window. There’s no doubt the duo have talent, but questions have been asked about their commitment and consistency in Rohl’s side.
