As reported by Sky Germany, Ramy Bensebaini has signed a long-term contract with Borussia Dortmund ahead of joining the Bundesliga side from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer.
Bensebaini’s contract with Gladbach expires at the season and it’s been known for some time that the Algerian defender would join Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer.
Sky Germany reported back in December that Bensebaini was in discussions with Borussia Dortmund and after final negotiations, BVB Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl has made his first signing of the summer.
Bensebaini (27) joined Borussia Mönchengladbach from French side Rennes in 2019 and has made 89 appearances for Die Fohlen in the Bundesliga, scoring 18 and creating six.
The arrival of Bensebaini isn’t expected to have an effect on the future of Raphael Guerreiro.
With Marco Reus and Mats Hummels both on contracts that expire at the end of the season, it’s expected to be a busy summer for Borussia Dortmund with it already being reported that Mahmoud Dahoud will leave BVB when his contract expires in the summer.
