Leroy Sané is entering the final 18 months of his contract at Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga side is yet to open any discussions with the player.
According to Sky Germany, there is radio silence between Sané and Bayern. Despite Christoph Freund announcing talks several weeks ago, Sané is yet to receive a written contract offer and as of now, there are no negotiations between either party.
Bayern Munich want to take their time with Sané, Joshua Kimmich and Alphonso Davies, all of whom have contracts expiring in 2025. Per the report, Sané would like to sign a new long-term contract of around four to five years. Should the German national team player not get that at Bayern, a return to England remains an attractive option.
Leroy Sané happy at Bayern Munich
But despite no offer or negotiations, Sané is entirely focussed on the second half of the season at Bayern Munich. More importantly, the 28-year-old is happy at the club, and has a healthy relationship with Thomas Tuchel. After 26 games across all competitions this season, Sané has nine goals and eleven assists.
