Vinicius Junior has again received racist insults from the stands at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Barcelona towards the end of El Clasico.
In addition, the player had a banana thrown at him from that same section of the stands.
“F***ing monkey, f***ing monkey,” chants were heard.
This is just the latest racism incident suffered by the player, who also received racist insults in the last away game against Sevilla.
The player was substituted a few minutes before the end and faced up to some fans in the stands.
It was at that moment when a fan shouted at him and also threw an object that seems to be a banana.
Clash with Xavi
The Brazilian winger had a clash at the beginning of the match with Xavi, and he did not appear to be scared of getting involved with the coach.
However, the Barcelona coach wanted to play down the importance of the matter in a press conference.
“It was a gesture of affection, I have respect for him,” he explained.
It seemed that the rivalry remained at that moment, but when the player was substituted, there was a moment of tension between the fans and the Real Madrid winger and that’s when the insults were uttered.
