Manchester United star Donny van de Beek has a ‘queue of clubs’ waiting to end his Old Trafford nightmare in January, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
The Dutchman has been on the Red Devils’ books since completing a move worth £40million from Ajax two years ago, but there are doubts over his long-term future.
What’s the latest news involving van de Beek?
Although van de Beek’s £120,000-per-week contract is not due to expire until the summer of 2025 – and Manchester United have the option of extending his stay by another 12 months – it seems a move away could be on the cards.
According to 90min, the creative midfielder has been granted permission to leave the Red Devils when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The report suggests numerous Premier League clubs, along with PSV Eindhoven and former employers Ajax, are interested and the 19-cap Netherlands international is likely to leave on loan.
Serie A giants Inter Milan is reportedly another potential destination for van de Beek in January.
Although it seems that the 25-year-old is currently surplus to requirements, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has insisted that van de Beek’s ‘chances will come’ when he is fully fit.

What has Dean Jones said about van de Beek?
Jones believes the amount of fixtures Manchester United will be involved in ahead of the World Cup getting underway should present van de Beek with an opportunity to revive his career.
But the journalist feels the outcast will not be short of options if it becomes clear a move away is needed.
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “The squad will be tested so much in the coming weeks with the amount of games and the intensity of the matches.
“He has to be given an opportunity and if that’s not the case, there’s going to be a queue of clubs waiting to find out what his situation is in January.”
Could van de Beek have left during the summer?
Van de Beek only returned to Manchester United during the summer, having spent the second half of last season on loan with Everton.
According to The Sun, ten Hag was not willing to offload his fellow countryman amid interest from Ajax.
The report suggests a move to van de Beek’s ex-club was blocked by the Manchester United chief, but that has not resulted in him becoming a regular fixture in the team as he is still searching for his first start of the season.
