Quartet of La Liga clubs eyeing Real Madrid starlet Peter

No fewer than four La Liga clubs are expressing a keen interest in the services of an up-and-coming member of the academy ranks at Real Madrid.

That’s according to José Félix Díaz of Marca, who has this evening provided an update on the future of 21-year-old Peter González.

Peter, for his part, is an attacker who generally lines out on the right wing, but is also more than capable of filling in on the left, or even at full-back.

A former Dominican Republic youth international, he is a product of the famed Fábrica system at Real Madrid, whom he has now been on the books of since 2015.

Across the season to date, Peter – who has already featured at senior level in La Liga on a trio of occasions – has notched a pair of goals and assists for Raúl González’s Castilla side.

And such endeavours, it would appear, have begun to catch the eye of a whole host of rival clubs in Spain’s top-flight.

This comes amid claims by way of the aforementioned José Félix Díaz that the youngster is attracting mounting interest.

Just weeks ago, it appeared as though Peter was all set to link up with Valencia, after an agreement was struck over the terms of a loan deal featuring an option to buy.

Since, however, the board at the Mestalla have failed to step forward with sufficient intent to close the transfer.

This has opened the door for rival suitors to enter the fray, with it now confirmed that all of Rayo Vallecano, Getafe, Villarreal and Las Palmas are in the picture for the attacker’s signature.

Whatever the case, one thing looks certain – Peter’s future lies away from the Santiago Bernabéu.
