The project has changed at Paris Saint-Germain. Gone are the days when the club overlooked its talented academy and the rich Île-de-France talent pool. After Warren Zaïre-Emery broke into the PSG first team at the age of 16, Senny Mayulu (17) has become the latest titi Parisien to force his way into Luis Enrique’s plans.
However, there were question marks surrounding the future of Mayulu, who in PSG’s 4-1 victory over FC Lorient on Wednesday, made his second appearance of the season for Les Parisiens. The winger’s contract was nearing its expiry and within this context, Borussia Dortmund were circling. However, L’Équipe now report that whilst a deal is not yet done, Mayulu is set to sign his first professional contract with his formative club. A deal for the France U19 international has been agreed and a signature is imminent.
Once Mayulu puts pen to paper on the deal, PSG’s focus will then switch to securing the future of Joane Gadou (17), whose youth contract expires in 2025.
