Arnau Tenas (22) has had his chances this season. The Spaniard joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona on a free transfer as a back-up option last summer. When standing in for Gianluigi Donnarumma, he has generally impressed, however, his opportunities may be more limited next season.
As reported by multiple media, including L’Équipe, PSG are expected to sign Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov from Krasnodar in what is expected to be a €20m deal. Safonov would become the No.2 at PSG, although it would be expected that the Russian would challenge Donnarumma, whose performances in European competition did not meet expectations last season.
Safonov’s arrival would push Tenas down the pecking order. Although Luis Enrique is a fan of the goalkeeper, a loan move is envisaged this summer. That is the desire of the player at least. According to L’Équipe, Tenas has asked the club for a loan move and more specifically, he wishes to return to La Liga.
