Luis Enrique isn’t expected to spring any surprises when Paris Saint-Germain face Newcastle United at St James’ Park, however, there is uncertainty regarding the centre-forward position.
PSG rotated at the weekend in their draw against Clermont Foot. Bradley Barcola and Fabián Ruiz came into the side as Luis Enrique tweaked his system, however, he is expected to revert to his standard 4-3-3 against Newcastle United on Tuesday night. Warren Zaïre-Emery will return to the midfield in the place of Ruiz, whilst Manuel Ugarte and Lucas Hernandez are also both expected to return to the starting XI.
The only mystery surrounds the No 9 position. Randal Kolo Muani occupied that position at the weekend, however, there is a possibility that Gonçalo Ramos will get the nod. The Portuguese international got his first goals for the club against Marseille in Le Classique two weekends ago, whilst Kolo Muani has one goal since joining PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt on transfer deadline day.
PSG likely lineup v Newcastle
Gianluigi Donnarumma; Lucas Hernandez, Milan Skriniar, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi; Vitinha, Manuel Ugarte, Warren Zaïre-Emery; Kylian Mbappé, Gonçalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembélé.
