PSG planning summer tour in Japan

Goal France report that Ligue 1 leaders PSG are working on a summer tour of Japan for their upcoming pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Every season, the club is faced with balancing the most optimal pre-season preparation to ensure that their players are in the best physical, tactical and technical shape, and the desire to continue to market the brand and further their global growth and reach.

The club is currently planning a mid-July tour of Japan, to repeat a similar trip to the one they made between 17th and 28th July in 2022, where PSG played 3 friendly matches in Japan and worked with local sponsors on a number of campaigns.

The club’s administrative arm is currently in discussions to repeat the experience although the report affirms that no final decision has yet been made – it is expected to be clear during April whether or not this will go ahead again.

If talks break down, PSG are not ruling out the possibility of visiting another Asian country, or several, in July.

Any Japan pre-season tour is not conditional on Lionel Messi or Neymar still being at the club.
