Sergio Rico is responding positively to the head injury he suffered recently, according to the latest report from the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital in Seville.
“The medical team has completely stopped sedating him and at the moment he is evolving favourably. His condition is still serious and he remains in intensive care,” this morning’s statement read.
Yesterday it was his wife, Alba Silva, who explained that Rico is taking small steps forward. Today marks the tenth day since he went to the hospital following the serious accident he suffered the morning after PSG won the league title in Strasbourg.
The Spaniard travelled to the Andalusian capital in the early hours of the morning when a horse repeatedly struck the player in the head.
From afar, PSG wanted to send him all their support on the last day of the Ligue 1 campaign. There were banners in the stands at the Parc des Princes and in the 16th minute a giant picture of the goalkeeper, who they hope to see again soon in Paris, was unfurled.
