RMC Sport report this evening that Ligue 1 side PSG have in recent hours accepted a proposal from Saudi 1st division side Al-Hilal for the transfer of 31-year-old Brazilian attacker Neymar.
The exact nature of fee that has been offered and accepted by Qatari-owned Paris-Saint Germain is currently not known, just that it has been accepted by Les Parisiens, much like they did with a proposal that the same side made for another one of the player’s that PSG has in recent weeks been seeking to get rid of: Kylian Mbappé.
As first called by Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee proposed is “huge,” but a deal is by no means a foregone conclusion. Whilst Neymar’s representatives are in advanced talks with the Saudi 1st division side, to the point that the latter has submitted a formal contract proposal in writing to the player’s camp, any deal is still missing the final green light from Neymar himself.
Neymar – who arrived at PSG in 2017 – has long been in the cross-hairs of a certain Kylian Mbappé, who last summer was promised that the Brazil attacker would be sold in what was one of the conditions that the France captain had for extending his contract until June 2024 in the first place.
TF1 affirm that PSG are not presently optimistic that the sale of Neymar goes through to Al-Hilal.
