RB Leipzig travel to the Westfalenstadion on Friday night as Marco Rose’s side take on Borussia Dortmund. The club from Saxony can close the gap to leaders Bayern Munich to just one points with a win.
A huge boost for Rose and Leipzig is that according to Kicker, Christopher Nkunku could start his first Bundesliga game since November 2022. The Frenchman suffered a ligament injury that ruled him out of the World Cup, and the player is just returning to full fitness, featuring in Leipzig’s last three games.
Konrad Laimer is also suspended for this fixture and so we’ll expect to see one of Kevin Kampl or Amadou Haidara alongside Xaver Schlager in central-midfield. Dominik Szoboszlai is Leipzig’s dangerman this season and up against Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Ryerson, this could be an interesting battle.
Predicted RB Leipzig XI vs Borussia Dortmund
Janis Blaswich – Benjamin Henrichs, Willi Orban, Josko Gvardiol, David Raum – Xaver Schlager, Kevin Kampl – Dominik Szoboszlai, Christopher Nkunku, Timo Werner – André Silva.
