Borussia Dortmund host Freiburg at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday afternoon with both clubs challenging Bayern Munich – who play on Sunday – for the Bundesliga title.
Edin Terzić has plenty of options to keep things interesting. Kicker suggest that following an illness, Marco Reus could play for the first time since November, whilst Sébastien Haller is in line for successive starts.
Salih Özcan is suspended and so we can expect to see Emre Can partner Jude Bellingham in central-midfield, but Mahmoud Dahoud remains an option, as does Gio Reyna, which could see Julian Brandt play a deeper role.
Donyell Malen has seemingly lost his place on the left-flank with Terzić now preferring Karim Adeyemi, who scored last weekend against Bayer Leverkusen, in the role.
Raphaël Guerreiro and Nico Schlotterbeck remain options in the back four, whilst Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has shone when coming off the bench in this calendar year.
As for Freiburg, Nicolas Höfler returns after serving a suspension whilst Lukas Kübler could replace Kiliann Sildillia at right-back.
Predicted Borussia Dortmund XI vs Freiburg
Gregor Kobel – Marius Wolf, Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels, Julian Ryerson – Emre Can, Jude Bellingham – Julian Brandt, Marco Reus, Karim Adeyemi – Sébastien Haller.
