Bild reports that Alassane Plea will most likely leave Gladbach this summer.

Alassane Plea’s time at Borussia Mönchengladbach looks likely to come to an end this summer.

According to Bild, the Fohlen have decided not to extend the 31-year-old’s contract, which expires in 2025, on the current terms.

Unless the Frenchman wants to take a big pay cut and sign an extension anyway, Gladbach will be keen to offload him this summer to avoid losing him for free in 2025.

Selling Plea would free up funds to sign Tim Kleindienst from FC Heidenheim, who Gladbach have been heavily linked with recently.

Plea, 31, was signed for a whopping 23 million OGC Nice in 2018. He scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 30 appearances in the 2023/24 season.

In total, the French striker has scored 56 goals and provided 48 assists in 204 appearances for Gladbach.
