The planned winner of the 2026 men’s WWE Royal Rumble has been leaked according to a backstage report. The 30-man battle royal-inspired bout will take place on the 31st of January in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The show will mark the 39th annual Royal Rumble event and will be the first to be held outside North America. The Gulf state is set to host a number of major WWE Premium Live Events moving forward, including WrestleMania 43 in 2027.
With the event now less than two months away, WWE are beginning to finalise their creative plans for the PLE. While fans enjoy the unpredictable aspect of Royal Rumble matches, such as surprise entrants, what really counts at the end of it all is which Superstar wins the match.
The prize for the winner of the Royal Rumble match is a guaranteed world title opportunity at WrestleMania 42. Jey Uso won the men’s Royal Rumble in 2025 and went on to dethrone Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.
The Planned Winner of the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble Emerges
A report from Wrestlevotes has revealed the Superstar who is reportedly in line to follow in Uso’s footsteps this year. Per the source, Bron Breakker is currently the ‘whiteboard favourite’ to win the men’s Royal Rumble match.
As seen on the Netflix series ‘WWE Unreal”, the company often uses a giant whiteboard to map out their storyline directions and, at present, Breakker is listed as the winner of the men’s Rumble.
The son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, the 28-year-old Breakker has long been seen as a future main eventer within WWE creative circles. Now, the company looks set to give Bron the biggest win of his career as he is said to be the ‘current frontrunner’ to win the match.
WWE’s Future Plans For 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble Winner
Ironically, Breakker is booked to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on the first edition of Raw in 2026. However, the outcome of that match is not expected to impact plans for the Rumble.
Among those also considered as potential winners of the men’s Rumble were Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. ‘The Visionary, though, was taken out of the running after going down with a shoulder injury after his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel last month.
Wrestlevotes have yet to hint at any creative plans past the Royal Rumble and so it is unclear as to whether Breakker is slated to leave WrestleMania 42 as a world champion. It would be uncommon for WWE to give a young Superstar such a major opportunity – only to have them lose out on the gold on the big stage.
