It’s just a series of pictures of Man City marksman Erling Haaland drinking milk, but that was enough for Liverpool legend Ian Rush to recreate a bit of 1980s nostalgia on Twitter.
A once-famous advert of two youngsters in Liverpool kits shows one drinking milk because he’s told by Rush he’ll end up playing for Accrington Stanley if he doesn’t.
His friend replies “Accrington Stanley, who are they?” to which the first youngster responds “exactly,” as though to suggest that no one knows who they are.
Haaland’s own milk drinking escapades prompted Rush’s comical one word ‘Exactly’ tweet.
Well played!
