Benjamin Pavard has told Bayern Munich that he wants to leave the club this summer, according to Sport Bild and Sport1.
The France international’s contract, which expires in 2024, will therefore not be renewed.
The main reason is apparently that Pavard wants to test himself in another top league after seven years in Germany. He is said to have plenty of options, including in Spain and England.
Pavard already flirted with a move away from the Bavarians in January, according to the reports.
The 27-year-old defender joined Bayern from Stuttgart in 2019 for a fee of 35 million euros.
He has made 162 appearances for the German record champions, scoring 12 goals and providing 12 assists.
