According to Téléfoot, it is looking increasingly unlikely that Paulo Fonseca will remain with Lille OSC next season, amidst interest from Olympique de Marseille.
Fonseca’s contract at Lille expires at the end of the season. Whilst no official decision has been made on the Portuguese manager’s future, and despite LOSC’s desire to retain him, Fonseca does not wish to extend his current deal, which expires at the end of the season.
Fonseca talks with OM intensify
Fonseca had been linked with a move to West Ham United but with Julen Lopetegui set to take the helm at the London Stadium, that door has seemingly closed. Marseille, who will be looking for a new manager once interim manager Jean-Louis Gasset leaves the club at the end of the season, have made Fonseca a priority.
Téléfoot report that discussions between Fonseca and Marseille have intensified in recent hours, however, a decision will not be made public until the end of the season.
