Paulinho is still at Leverkusen after a reported transfer to Brazil broke down this summer. The winger is clearly unhappy with the club as seen in his responses to a Bild article on Sunday.

Bild stated in an article that Paulinho was “provoking” Leverkusen by posting a video working out with dumbbells on social media. The 22-year-old Brazilian wasn’t included in Leverkusen’s squad on Matchday 6 and has only made one league appearance all season. This was his response to the article on Twitter:
“Provocation? I’ve trained for 2 hours since I arrived and won’t stop preparing myself. The POLITICAL not sporting decision for me not to be involved is not my problem.”
“Bayer had the economic choice to transfer me & decided to keep me here & pay my salary. I’ll always prepare and help my teammates. I’ll follow my training so you can see whether the decision (next game) was down to or will be down to sporting reasons.”
This entire situation provides Leverkusen with another headache in their already disastrous season.
