England and Tottenham Hotspur legend Paul Gascoigne was reportedly rushed to hospital on Friday after collapsing while at his home in Poole, Dorset – and close friends and family have rallied around him amid news that he’s returned to being stable.
According to The Sun, the ever-loveable Gazza was found by a friend in a semi-conscious state before being admitted to the intensive care unit. Now, he’s been moved to an acute medical unit where his condition is being described as stable.

British football has birthed several icons of the game with three World Cup winners making the list.
The 58-year-old, fans from across the globe will be pleased to know, is on the mend after Mr Foster, his driver and personal assistant, rushed him to hospital but has now insisted that he would like to thank everyone for their undying support. He said:
“Gazza would like to thank everyone for the support he’s received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best”.
Gascoigne Back to Stable Condition After Being Rushed to Hospital
Located in a hospital near his coastal home, Gascoigne is expected to remain there for the next week or so as he undergoes treatment, according to The Sun. Foster said: “Paul is in hospital, which is the best possible place for him to be right now.”
Gascoigne’s daughter Bianca, his two sisters and footballing greats such as Peter Beardsley, Chris Waddle, Paul Merson and Vinnie Jones were all being updated regularly regarding his condition after he was found in a semi-conscious state at the end of last week.
Formerly of Newcastle United’s academy ranks, Gascoigne – widely regarded as one of the greatest players to never win the Premier League despite plying their trade in the English top flight post-1992 – was reportedly ‘out of danger’ by Saturday night and will now remain in care until he’s back to his best.

England’s Greatest 11 Before the Year 2000
Many incredibly talented players represented England before the year 2000.
Gascoigne was capped by England on 57 occasions in the ten-year period between 1988 and 1889, while his club career was illustrious: he turned out for clubs including Newcastle, Tottenham, Lazio, Everton, Rangers and Middlesbrough.
Following medical scares in the past, Gascoigne previously told The Mirror that he felt the best he has in years. “I feel better now than I have in years,” he said. “I hope I am at a point that I can look back over everything I’ve gone through with a different more positive, perspective.”
“After so many years in the spotlight, I feel like it’s time people got to know the real me.”
Luckily, after his latest scare, Gascoigne is reportedly on the mend. He first won the hearts of the nation during the 1990 World Cup after his tear-jerking (quite literally!) reaction to being knocked out by West Germany, but went on to enjoy a fashionable 19-year career at the top.
That stunning solo goal against Scotland at Euro 96 (watch it above) only enhanced his reputation in the Three Lions echo chamber. He was also adored by fans at the domestic level – be it his boyhood club, Newcastle, or when he plied his trade overseas, in the Italian capital city with Lazio.
