Paris Saint-Germain keep their interest in Zenit St Petersburg forward Malcom intact ahead of a potential move this summer, reports Foot Mercato.
The Brazilian winger was one of the top targets for PSG in the winter transfer window and was tipped to make his move to the French Capital.
However, the Russian giants’ valuation of €30 million – as opposed to PSG’s intentions to sign him only on loan – saw the move fall through.
The former Bordeaux star was also eager to make his switch to Les Parisiens, but Zenit kept hold of him.
However, a move could happen in the summer as PSG are said to be still in contact with the former Barcelona star.
Besides Malcom, PSG’s pursuit of Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech and Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar also collapsed in the winter transfer window.
Ziyech’s case irked the French champions after the west Londoners were accused of sending the wrong documents during the negotiations, which prevented both clubs from reaching an agreement on the deadline day.
PSG also tried to sign Skriniar after he declined an extension offer from Inter. However, the Italian giants were steadfast in not selling the Slovak, forcing him to stay put at San Siro.
Les Parisiens are set to sign Skriniar for free in the summer, having already reached a pre-agreement with him.
More signings are expected at the French capital this summer after an underwhelming campaign where PSG exited the Champions League in the round of 16 against Bayern Munich.
Malcom could be a replacement for Lionel Messi, who has been linked with an exit as his contract expires in the summer.
The Argentine World Cup winner has the option to extend his stay at Parc des Princes for another year, but he could leave in the summer as part of the squad overhaul.
Malcolm, 26, is currently the Russian top-flight’s top scorer with 16 goals and also has five assists to his name.
