Exequiel Palacios will be unavailable through at least the international break after picking up a left hamstring injury. The Argentine midfielder has featured in every competitive game for the company club this season, but most likely won’t return until October.
This is another painful blow for Leverkusen, who are reeling with their atrocious start to the campaign. Palacios joins a lengthy injury list that includes Florian Wirtz, Karim Bellarabi, Amine Adli and Andrey Lunev.
