Oxford United are one of several EFL Championship clubs showing an interest in EA Guingamp midfielder Kalidou Sidibé (26), according to a report from L’Équipe journalist Loic Tanzi.
The Toulouse FC academy product has become a stalwart in France’s second division. This season, the defensive midfielder has played 16 games in all competitions, scoring once and assisting twice in Ligue 2. His performances have caught the eye of clubs across the Channel, L’Équipe understands.
Oxford United are one of several EFL Championship clubs interested in Sidibé, whose contract at the Ligue 2 club expires at the end of the current season. It means that he could be available for a cut-price deal this month.
Sidibé made 34 appearances for Toulouse’s first team, whilst he has, to date, made 81 appearances for Guingamp. Over the course of his career, he has played 149 times in Ligue 2, whilst he also has 24 appearances to his name in Ligue 1.
