Speaking to Sky Germany, Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat believes Orel Mangala (24) will complete his move to newly-promoted Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
“It’s taking a while, but I think it’ll go through tomorrow,” said Mislintat.
Nottingham Forest will pay a reported fee of around €15m for Mangala, who has two-years remaining on his current VfB contract. Since the opening of the transfer window, Mislintat has always been open about the possibility that Mangala could leave the Bundesliga club this summer.
The 24-year-old Belgian midfielder would become Nottingham Forest’s fourth signing from the Bundesliga following Taiwo Awoniyi, Moussa Niakhaté and Omar Richards.
Mangala joined Stuttgart from Anderlecht in 2017 for €2m. The Belgian spent the 2018/19 season on loan at 2. Bundesliga side Hamburg but has played 109 games across all competitions for Stuttgart.
Often showcasing his physicality on the ball, Mangala’s neat dribbling was on show last season, dribbling past 50 players in the Bundesliga, the ninth most in the league.
