The XI of stars set to be depended upon by Barcelona to get the better of arch rivals Real Madrid on Sunday night has been announced.
And it features one major change, in the middle of the park.
On the back of his side’s Champions League drubbing at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, Xavi has decided to drop Pedri to the bench.
The Spanish international is of course still recovering full fitness following a spell on the sidelines through injury.
And in his place at the Santiago Bernabéu comes Andreas Christensen.
Danish international Christensen is expected to feature at the base of Barcelona’s midfield, allowing Frenkie de Jong and İlkay Gündoğan to work their magic further forward.
The likes of João Cancelo and Ronald Araújo, meanwhile, despite their difficult respective outings in midweek, have maintained their starting berths.
