An update on the fitness situation in La Liga champions Barcelona’s first-team squad has on Tuesday come to the fore online.
This comes amid confirmation of one positive development at the Ciutat Esportiva, alongside one negative.
When it comes to the former, Frenkie de Jong, despite a recent scare, is considered fully fit to play his part in the club’s upcoming Copa del Rey meeting with Atlético Madrid.
The Dutchman took part in group training as normal on Tuesday.
The news regarding Raphinha, on the other hand, was considerably less positive.
Wide-man Raphinha has been forced to sit out each of Barcelona’s last two fixtures, owing to a muscular injury suffered in a La Liga meeting with Elche.
The hope was that the Brazilian would recover in time to feature at the Metropolitano on Thursday.
As per a report from Blaugrana insider Alex Pintanel, however, as of this morning, Raphinha remains a ‘serious doubt’.
