Omlin set for spell on the sidelines

Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Jonas Omlin has suffered an injury that will keep him out for the foreseeable future.

Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to make do without their captain for the next period of time.

Die Fohlen announced on Thursday that Jonas Omlin has suffered a tendon injury in his lower leg during training.

Treatment for the injury has already begun. It is not yet clear how long Jonas Omlin will be sidelined.

With Omlin out, Moritz Nicolas is expected to be in goal when Gladbach visit Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Nicolas played the majority of Gladbach’s Bundesliga games last season – 27 in total – while Omlin was out with an injury.
