Germany’s main sporting tabloid reports that a comeback for Leipzig’s Dani Olmo proceeds as schedule, with a possible return forecast for the 2022/23 Bundesliga’s 11th matchday.

According to Germany’s “Sport Bild” Dani Olmo’s scheduled comeback from knee surgery in early September is proceeding apace. The 24-year-old should return to training next week with a targeted return scheduled for the FC Augsburg match in round 11. If all goes according to plan, the Spaniard will have four Bundesliga matchdays to recommend himself for Luis Enrique’s World Cup squad.
Olmo has not featured for the Saxon Red Bulls since the 2022/23 Bundesliga’s fifth matchday and has not yet had a chance to appear under the new head-coaching regime of RB trainer Marco Rose. A fine start to the season was regrettably curtailed by the knee injury suffered early in a loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.
