Olmo fit to face Mainz

Dani Olmo is fit to face Mainz after overcoming a bad cold, RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has confirmed.

RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has confirmed that Dani Olmo is fit and available for Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Mainz.


Olmo missed Spain’s 2-0 loss to Scotland with a bad cold, but will be ready to face Mainz, although he is currently “a bit tired,” Rose said.

“Everything is fine,” insisted the Leipzig coach.

“There is nothing to worry about. He will be fit for Saturday.

Rose also played down the muscle injury that kept Mohamed Simakan out of international duty with France’s U21 team.

“We are confident that he will be fit for Saturday. It’s nothing serious.”


Yussuf Poulsen is training individually after picking up a knock in training last week, with a late decision to be made on his availability.
