Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani (24) put in an incredible cameo in the World Cup final against Argentina last month but despite a runners-up medal, SGE head coach Oliver Glasner has noticed a difference in the Frenchman’s personality.
“The World Cup has brought him forward in his personality, in his self-confidence and self-image. I find him even more present,” said Glasner. A shy character, Glasner believes this is no longer the case: “I have the impression that he is going out of himself. He’s become a bit louder in the exercises, which is positive.”
Kolo Muani has left a strong impression at Eintracht’s training camp in Dubai despite being the player with the shortest break. Upon his return, the French forward scored a brace in SGE’s behind-closed-doors friendly against RB Leipzig, scored in training and was joyous in football tennis after pulling off an overhead kick.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich are both targeting Kolo Muani but it’s unlikely that the Frenchman will leave Eintracht just six months after joining on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side FC Nantes. As reported during the week, Kolo Muani’s valuation is expected to be around €100m, only then will the Hessen club think about selling the forward, who has scored five goals and created 10 in the Bundesliga this season.
