Daniel Dubois officially has a second crack at Oleksandr Usyk, after flooring him in their first fight but ultimately losing to Ukraine’s boxing king in the ninth round of a 2023 fight at the Stadion Wroclaw in Poland.
In the do-over, as reported by the Turki Alalshikh-owned Ring website, they fight for a second time at Wembley Stadium in London on the 19th of July.
The bout scuppers IBF plans to elevate the fringe contender Derek Chisora into a world title shot as they had mandated a bout between the Brit, and Dubois. The undisputed world heavyweight championship fight instead takes precedence.

Daniel Dubois Fights Oleksandr Usyk a Second Time
Dubois takes great momentum into the July showdown
Usyk has beaten a who’s who of top tier modern day fighters from his days as a cruiserweight, into his fights at heavyweight, defeating the likes of Mairis Briedis, Murat Gassiev, Tony Bellew, Anthony Joshua (twice), and Tyson Fury (twice).
“I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship,” Usyk said to The Ring.
“Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt — now I want it back.”
Dubois should be far better prepared for the stage and the rematch than he was for the first fight, as his best wins heading into the first Usyk fight were against regional fighters like Nathan Gorman, but since the knockout loss, he’s beaten Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Joshua — all by knockout.
Since the thumping finish over Joshua, there may be no better time for Dubois to take on Usyk, and get the win he came close to securing two years ago.
“This is the fight I wanted and demanded, and now I get my chance for revenge against Oleksandr Usyk.”
Dubois added: “I should have won the first fight and was denied by the judgement of the referee, so I will make no mistake this time around in front of my people at the national stadium in my home city. I am a superior and more dangerous fighter now and Usyk will find this out for himself on July 19.
“I would like to thank my promoter Frank for making this happen for me and I intend to repay him by becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.”
