OGC Nice want to sign Marseille’s Jonathan Clauss

According to a report from Foot Mercato, OGC Nice are keen to sign Olympique de Marseille full-back Jonathan Clauss (31).

Clauss, who was forced towards the exit door at Marseille in January, before ultimately remaining at the Vélodrome, is expected to leave the club this season. Whilst the France international, currently at Euro 2024, has stated that he is yet to make a decision on his future, L’Équipe understands that it is the desire of the player and the club to part ways. Given that he has just one year remaining on his contract, this summer represents a final chance for OM to garner a considerable fee.

Foot Mercato understands that local rivals Nice are keen on signing the full-back this summer. Franck Haise worked with Clauss for two years at RC Lens and he is now keen to do so again. It remains to be seen whether OM and OGCN will reach an agreement for a transfer.
