VfL Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Kamil Grabara from FC Copenhagen, with the Polish goalkeeper set to join the Wolves next summer.

VfL Wolfsburg have announced their first signing for the 2024/25 season.

As confirmed by the Wolves, 24-year-old goalkeeper Kamil Grabara will join them in the summer of 2024 from FC Copenhagen.

He will replace long-time first-choice goalkeeper Koen Casteels, who will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

“We’re confident that, in Kamil Grabara, we’ve found a high-quality solution for the upcoming departure of Koen Casteels and are very pleased we’ve been able to reach an early agreement with the player and the club,” said VfL Wolfsburg sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.

“Kamil has played a key role in FC Copenhagen’s successes over the past two years and has also delivered strong performances in Europe. We hope he’ll continue his impressive development this term and are pleased he’ll be part of our squad from next season onwards.”

Grabara commented:

“The manner in which VfL approached me convinced me very quickly that this is the right step for my career. That’s why it was an easy decision to move to Wolfsburg. I’m really looking forward to repaying the faith shown in me. Until that time comes, though, I’m going to give my all to have a good, successful season with FC Copenhagen and help my team achieve our aims.”
