Valencia have announced an agreement with Wolves for forward Gonçalo Guedes.
“Valencia CF and Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club have reached an agreement on Monday 8 August for the transfer of Gonçalo Guedes to the English club,” the Spanish club said in a statement.
Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso confirmed the player’s departure at a press conference on Saturday night: “An English club has made an offer for a lot of money and we have to accept it. The club couldn’t refuse the money they have offered for Guedes,” the Italian said.
The Premier League side will pay a reported €30m fixed plus €5m in add-ons. Gattuso now hopes that with the departure of Guedes and the revenue for the club, Los Che will be able to sign players to improve the club’s squad ahead of the new season.
