Official | Soungoutou Magassa extends Monaco deal

Soungoutou Magassa (19), a graduate of AS Monaco’s La Diagonale Academy, has extended his contract with the Principality club.

Magassa has enjoyed a breakthrough at Monaco this season. The France U20 international notably made an impressive appearance earlier in the season, coming on for Les Monégasques with his team down to 10 men, and helping the side salvage a draw against Stade Rennais. His most recent appearance came as a substitute during Monaco’s 2-2 draw against FC Nantes, whilst he also started in the Principality club’s Coupe de France tie against Rodez.

The Diagonale Academy product’s current deal was set to expire in 2024, and the club have been looking to tie Magassa down to a more long-term deal. Les Monégasques have now completed that mission. The France U20 international, who signed his first professional deal in May 2021, has signed a new contract, tying him to the Principality club until 2027.

It’s just the start and I expect to continue my efforts in learning, progressing and helping the team when the coach calls on me,” said Magassa in a press release from the club.
