With the future of LIV Golf uncertain in the wake of recent financing issues, a league that has drawn headlines since its inception for massive cash incentives may find itself unable to remain operational.
LIV Golf began in 2022, positioning itself as a rival to the PGA Tour. With its launch came multiple defections from high-profile players, with names such as Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Bryson DeChambeau, and Phil Mickelson all jumping ship.
One of the key elements that drew these players away from the PGA Tour was the huge cash incentives that LIV Golf offered. The upstart league was funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, and this backing gave them the freedom to offer huge money to players, drawing them away from the traditional golfing status quo.
In the years since the league began, many players have cashed in by signing with this disruptive new organisation. These are the 40 golfers that have made the most money – not including signing bonuses – in their time with LIV, courtesy of Today’s Golfer.

Patrick Reed
$42,298,704
Reed joined LIV Golf in its first season, beginning a stint that lasted until the end of his 2025 campaign. He is now closing in on a return to the PGA Tour after playing on the DP World Tour in 2026.
In his time at LIV, he managed 12 finishes in the top five, with one of those being a win in Dallas in 2025. His earnings over those four years are just shy of the $40.6 million he earned in nine years as a PGA Tour member.
10
Tyrrell Hatton
$43,758,735
Hatton was a late addition to LIV Golf, joining ahead of the 2024 season. He has enjoyed great success in the three seasons he has played.
He has won twice on the tour, triumphing in Nashville in 2024 and in Spain in 2026. The Englishman, who plays for Legion XIII player, has recorded nine top 10 finishes in major championships and has represented Team Europe in the Ryder Cup in 2018, 2021, 2023 and 2025.
9
Branden Grace
$43,804,492
Grace also began his time with LIV Golf in 2022. He managed a victory in his first-ever season, going home with the trophy in Portland. He recorded five top 10 finishes in the 2026 season as he finished 18th on the money list.
His earnings on LIV more than triple the money he made in his career on the PGA Tour. He remains with the league to this day as a member of the Southern Guards.
8
Brooks Koepka
$46,415,589
Koepka was one of the big-name signings that sparked conversation during the launch of LIV Golf. Making his debut in 2022, he played four seasons before deciding to turn back in favour of returning to the PGA Tour.
In his four seasons, he won five events and managed nine top five finishes. His earnings in his four years with LIV very nearly match that of his eight-year career on the PGA Tour to date.
7
Sergio Garcia
$49,022,073
Garcia is one of the main names in LIV Golf today, although he may not be on the tour much longer, with his focus on playing for Europe at the 2027 Ryder Cup. The captain of Fireballs GC has won twice on the tour, in AndalucĂa in 2024 and in Hong Kong the following year.
His earnings are not too far shy of the $55 million he made in his celebrated long career with the PGA Tour, joining and winning his first tournament in 2001.
6
Cameron Smith
$57,169,058
Smith, who won the Open Championship in 2022, joined LIV a few months later, and remains in the league to this day as a member of the Ripper GC. He has won three events in this time. His earnings to date dwarf the $29.5 million he made on the PGA Tour.
5
Bryson DeChambeau
$71,269,638
A huge signing for LIV Golf at their inception, DeChambeau has had a huge amount of success in the league. ‘The Scientist’ has posted five victories and captained Crushers GC to the team championship in 2023.
DeChambeau remains with the league to this day, and is ‘working diligently behind the scenes to bring LIV 2.0 to fruition.’ His earnings massively outweighing the $36.9 million he made in his PGA Tour career, which began in 2016.
4
Dustin Johnson
$71,454,779
One of just five golfers to make over $70 million in their time at LIV Golf, Johnson’s transition from top name on the PGA Tour has been a huge success. He turned pro in 2007, competing on the PGA Tour for many years before his move away from the organisation.
In his four years with the new league, his earnings are just shy of the $75 million he made in his career with the PGA Tour.
3
Talor Gooch
$75,479,296
The top player in the league in 2023, Gooch has had an incredibly successful career at LIV. His transition away from the PGA Tour, where he made ‘just’ $9.3 million in total, has been incredibly fruitful.
Gooch has won three events since his debut in 2022. To top this off, he has also managed nine 10 five finishes.
2
Joaquin Niemann
$88,272,724
The second-highest earning golfer in the organisation, Niemann’s nine event wins have made his transition to LIV Golf incredibly successful.
His PGA Tour earnings of $15.8 million in four years of competition make this four-year stint a huge win for the Chilean golfer.
