Sevilla have completed the signing of Spanish defender Sergio Ramos on a one-year deal.
The veteran centre-back had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, MLS, as well as Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Besiktas in recent weeks, but he returns to Spain after a spell in France with Paris Saint-Germain.
According to several reports, Sevilla did not want to sign him earlier in the summer, however, the Andalusian side submitted a contract offer for the former Real Madrid over the weekend and Ramos now returns to the club 18 years later.
At the age of 19, he left the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán to join Real Madrid, where he became a club legend.
Sevilla return
The offer for Ramos is reportedly in line with what Sevilla can pay but is well below the offers that he received from elsewhere. The 37-year-old arrived in Seville earlier today to complete his move to the reigning Europa League champions.
