Schalke 04 have sacked Frank Kramer following yesterday’s 5-1 defeat against Hoffenheim.

Frank Kramer has been relieved of his duties as Schalke 04 coach with immediate effect, the Bundesliga outfit have announced.
The decision has been made after Schalke fell to their fifth straight competitive defeat last night, losing 5-1 against Hoffenheim.
“After getting promoted, we committed ourselves to one goal together: staying in the Bundesliga. Until recently, we were convinced that we could achieve the turnaround in the existing constellation. From our point of view, the time has now come when we have to make personnel changes,” said Schalke sporting director Rouven Schröder.
“In the last five league games before an exceptionally long World Cup break, we need to score points so that we can then prepare in the best possible way for a groundbreaking second half of the season for our club.”
