Alavés have announced the loan signing Samu Omorodion. The striker recently signed by Atlético Madrid will continue his development with the Basque club.
There is no option to buy within the operation as the 19-year-old will return to Madrid, report Relevo.
Omorodion joined Atlético from Granada for €6m just under a week ago. He had other loan offers to weigh up but Atlético opted for Alaves’ offer.
Real Betis would have wanted him, but only in case of a Willian José departure, while Sevilla thought about it considering Rafa Mir’s potential move to Valencia. Atlético didn’t want to wait any longer as the offer from Alavés was beneficial for all parties.
