Spanish Second Division side UD Ibiza have announced the signing of Nolito on a two-year deal. The deal had been finalised last week but the parties had to iron out the final details before making the transfer for the forward official on Monday.
Nolito, 35, joins on a free transfer after finishing his contract with Celta Vigo. Across his successful career, he has played for Benfica, Granada, Manchester City, Sevilla and the aforementioned Celta, playing 243 games in the Spanish top flight, and scoring 60 goals.
He has also represented Spain on 16 occasions, scoring six goals.
Nolito becomes the club’s thirteenth summer signing, following moves for Daniel Fuzato (Roma), Álvaro García (Espanyol B), Suleiman Camara (Girona B), Martín Pascual (Rayo Vallecano), Darío Poveda (Getafe), Zé Carlos (Sporting Braga), Iván Morante (Real Madrid Castilla), Armando Shashoua (Atlético Baleares), Isma Ruiz (Granada), Mateusz Bogusz (Leeds United), Miguel Azeez (Arsenal) and Coke (Levante).
