FC Nantes have signed Wolfsburg left-back Nicolas Cozza (25) on loan, both clubs have announced. The former Montpellier player is making a return to the Loire-Atlantique side after spending the second half of the 2023-2024 campaign with Les Canaris. Antoine Kombouaré’s side was in the market for a full-back to compensate for Fabien Centonze’s knee ligament injury. The 28-year-old left-back is expected to spend a couple of months on the sidelines.
According to Ouest-France, Cozza’s second loan move to Nantes includes no option to buy. The 25-year-old remains tied with Wolfsburg over a four-year contract set to expire in 2027. Cozza only featured 13 times for the Bundesliga club and was an unused substitute for their season-opening home 3-2 loss against Bayern Munich. Cozza will wear the #3 jersey and might make his debut against his former club Montpellier this Saturday.
