Former France international midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has been appointed RC Strasbourg Alsace’s loan manager, the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side has announced. It’s a return to the roots for Schneiderlin, considering he has graduated from the club’s academy. The former Southampton, Manchester United and Everton midfielder hung up his boots in 2024.
Schneiderlin will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Strasbourg loanees at other clubs in close cooperation with Strasbourg Sporting Director David Weir. “Coming back to Racing is a tremendous joy and a great source of pride“, says Morgan Schneiderlin. “The club holds a special place in my heart. My goal is to be there for the players, to support them, to help them in their development and to maintain a strong connection with Racing.”
