It was already confirmed by the man himself and it is now official – Liam Rosenior has extended his contract as manager of RC Strasbourg Alsace.
Rosenior arrived at Strasbourg in the summer of 2024, replacing Patrick Vieira on the touchline at the Meinau. Despite BlueCo’s takeover in 2023, Les Alsaciens were still in a familiar position of fighting against relegation last season, ultimately finishing the season 13th.
Rosenior has Strasbourg fighting for UEFA Champions League football. With three games remaining, RCSA are seventh in the table but just two points off third-placed Lille OSC, who will face second-placed Olympique de Marseille this weekend. The prospect of some form of European football coming to the Meinau is real and Rosenior has ben rewarded for his work.
The former Hull City manager confirmed that he would be extending with Les Alsaciens, despite L’Équipe reporting interest from Leicester City and Southampton. Strasbourg have now officialised the extension. Rosenior’s new deal runs until the summer of 2028.
