Lazio have now signed defender Luca Pellegrini on an initial loan deal from Serie A rivals Juventus.
The Biancocelesti were looking to sign the left-back throughout the window but had not made much progress because of Mo Fares’ situation at the club. But his intentions about moving to Turkish club Alanyaspor opened the avenue for the Roman side to move for Pellegrini.
It has now been confirmed that Pellegrini will join Lazio on an initial loan deal with the Biancocelesti having the option to sign him permanently in the summer. The player pushed for the move to Lazio and was even keen to take a pay cut to sign this month and he had spent the first half of the season at Eintracht Frankfurt.
He had played for the Bianconeri last season and had rotated in the left-back spot with Alex Sandro and was a regular for Eintracht Frankfurt this season.
