Eintracht Frankfurt have tonight announced the signing of Luca Pellegrini (23) from Juventus on loan without an option to buy as a replacement for Filip Kostić.
“Lucas Pellegrini can operate in both defensive positions on the left flank, be it in front of a three-man backline or a little deeper in a back four,” said sporting director Markus Krösche. “He will give us more variety in our build-up play and increase our flexibility overall.”
Whilst at Juventus, Pellegrini spent time on loan at Cagliari and Genoa before making 21 appearances across all competitions for the Bianconeri last season.
The 23-year-old left-back made his debut for Italy in 2020 and has played 68 games in the Serie A for the aforementioned teams, and AS Roma.
Pellegrini arrives at Eintracht Frankfurt following the departure of Kostić, who joined Juventus for a reported €15m including bonuses with just one-year remaining on his SGE contract, ending four years at the Bundesliga club.
